Reasons why I think Urbane is a great local blog:

-Our blog runs the gamut from politics to tech to restaurant reviews, and more! There’s a nice mix of local and national issues too.

-All our bloggers are local voices who are involved in the community. No filler posts here.

-Check out the article I wrote on the Liquor License ban in Royal Oak. We had 20 great comments from new readers, fellow bloggers, and some of our top commentators. We really don’t moderate for substance, but our readers do a great job of avoiding personal attacks, spamming, and in general sounding really smart and thoughtful. (So thanks for not making our blog look like the Freep news forums!)

-The participation and love we get from our local readers! That’s really what makes The Urbane Life a joy to read, and be a part of.
