Rescuing Greyhounds

A WALK FOR LIFE - to benefit the rescue and adoption of racing greyhounds — will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, at Starr/Jaycee Park on 13 Mile Road, between Crooks and Campbell in Royal Oak. All donations are tax-deductible and benefit rescued greyhounds. For more information, call (248) 921-4041 or visit RegapWalkforLife@gmail.com.

All dogs are welcome to walk, and there will be a chance to meet foster greyhounds, win prizes and watch the blessing of the animals.

The walk is sponsored by REGAP (www.rescuedgreyhounds.org).

Pug Rescue

Cards For a Cause LLC is hosting a Texas Hold’em event, Sept. 27-30, at Snooker’s Pool & Pub at 30295 Woodward Avenue. The event will benefit the Michigan Pug Rescue General Fund (Lic. # M51618). There will be food and free pool while you wait for a table. Must be 21 to play cards. Call (248) 678-2755 for seating.

    Surely you can be a bit more accurate with location; how about between Crooks and Main on 13 mile.
