Urbane Life chosen as media partner for the “Dining in the D” TV series

Dining in the D and Urbane Life team up to bring metro Detroit’s best local restaurants to your TV

The Urbane Life, an online magazine focusing on all cool things hyper local, has been chosen as a media partner for the hugely popular “Dining in the D” TV series.

“Dining in the D” will feature Tom Keshishian, known as Chef Tom, who will take viewers from the front doors, through the dining rooms and into the kitchens of 39 area restaurants. Meet the owners and find out what inspired them to entertain diners in the Motor City. Also, find out about the secrets of the specialties of the house straight from the chefs.

The Urbane Life will produce feature articles for its online magazine and provide social media support for the program.

“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with the ‘Dining in the D’ program,” “We’re doing everything we can to be a part of the Detroit turnaround story, and highlighting our vast array of world-class restaurants via this local program is just one piece of the puzzle.”

“Dining in the D” will air on WTVS/Channel 56 on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. starting May 4. Check for information on the latest episodes, restaurant information and special events. Have a suggestion for the show? Visit the website and click on “Tell Us Where to Dine in the D” in the top navigation.

“Dining in the D” will feature Berkley Bistro & Café in Berkley, Lily’s Seafood Grill & Brewery in Royal Oak and Woodbridge Pub in Detroit in its first episode.

Some of the other Oakland County restaurants featured in the series include Cork Wine Pub in Pleasant Ridge, Palm Palace in Auburn Hills, and Oakland Community College Culinary Studies Institute in Farmington Hills, which operates two student-run restaurants and a bakery on the Orchard Ridge campus.
