A 10 day, 240 hour, non-stop tribute to The American worker. –A.J. O’Neil
The concert will be held for 10 days straight, with more than 200 live performances starting with former Motown singer and Detroit council woman Martha Reeves singing the national anthem. Other special performances include local Detroit artist Stewart Francke performing blues, jazz, folk, rock and Irish music. –ClickonDetroit.com
A.J. O’Neil, the owner of AJ’s, created the 10-day music event in an attempt to persuade people to buy American-made cars. Concert-goers will be asked to sign pledges to buy vehicles from Detroit’s automakers.
I believe we can get millions of pledges if people believe in the Big Three like I think they do. This is a way to say we believe in the Big Three and believe they make vehicles as good as anybody else in the world. — A.J. O’Neil
The concert is free! AJ’s Music Cafe is located at 240 W. Nine Mile Rd. For more information about this cool event, check out www.assemblylineconcert.com.
